But the cultural differences are stark, and if you are not 95-100% culturally French (even Parisian in some banks), you WILL NOT go through the screening rounds. None of my immediate family is from France, much less Francophone. I speak C1 French however. I did no Lycée Français International. Just self-learning and constant practice, plus a raging desire to avoid grammar mistakes (very good skill for IB). In the end I got screened into BNP/CACIB/SoGe + some EBs. No Parisian Prépa on CV required. Obviously, there are cultural references that I miss, but thanks to Internet, il y a pas mal d'ecart qui peut se rattraper. rien que lire les annales de la BCE me permettent de m'entendre ne serait-ce qu'un peu mieux avec les étudiants de la prépa, alors que ma famille n'a pas la moindre idée de ce que c'est</blockquote> Same for me, I prepared a C1 level before coming to Paris where I had zero family and connections. I studied at Dauphine and had very good opportunities, k no ow I am in one of the French teams at BlackRock:) never have I felt left out because of my accènt, what helped the most is the discipline and the skill to be a good slave:)</blockquote><br> Annuler
